Soulmates in Islam: A thread
Souls who knew each other in the realm would find each other in this world too. And so which that explains why sometimes when you meet certain people you feel like you’ve met them before.
“And among His signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your hearts. Verily in that are signs for those who reflect.” [Quran 30:21]
Your heart sometimes misses someone you’ve never even met before because of the very fact that your soul is yearning for those souls.
On the authority of Abū Hurayra, the Emissary of Allāh ﷺ said: “Souls are like conscripted soldiers: Those who are like qualities are inclined to each other, but those who have dissimilar qualities, differ.”
Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib, may Allāh ennoble his countenance, once said: “Souls resemble other souls, and those that resemble each other are in harmony, that’s why people are attracted towards those they resemble.”
