Attorney General KK Venugopal: The special committee held a meeting on August 10 and after considering the situation prevalent and security of nation, it was of the view that threat perception on security continues to be high.

Committee was of the considered view that the situation in Jammu & Kashmir is still not conducive to restore internet Services of 4G in Jammu & Kashmir.

AG: committee was of view that broadband access is available through landline for educational institutions and hospitals. On trial basis to try out opening of high speed interent the special committee was of view that high speed can be relaxed in areas with less violence.

AG: The Committee will overlook this restoration in certain areas of Jammu & Kashmir over a period of 7 days.
This shall come into force after August 15,2020.
