A huge point in an artist’s career is acceptance. Accepting that: no matter what you do, or how REALLY good you are, there is a SYSTEM involved in growing your fanbase, your streams, and your revenue. Connections go a long way also. It’s not really about your craft anymore.
There are people who have better connections and can turbocharge their success in the business through these ties. Success is not measured by the numbers. It is measured by how you define it.
You can have 5 million views in 2 days, but the real question is: how IMPACTFUL was their art at the end of the day?

I know lots of artist who are barely known who IMPACT listeners on a more private, secluded and personal way.
To wrap up this scribble. For me, your success as an artist is not merely dictated by numbers but by how you ADD VALUE to a person’s life through your craft.
So to you, the artist who is reading this, BY ALL MEANS, continue. Even if you don’t have millions, don’t have results today, don’t have the numbers, continue.
And I have a lot of gratitude to my best friend, @paujanlv for reminding me last weekend to CONTINUE. To decide to become a success by touching peoples’ lives. Not by burning myself out with numbers.
