I just looked at my mentions and saw a whole lot people basically arguing for why it's all over.

So we should all just give up?

Look, nobody promised you a Democracy. People born after the Civil Rights and women's rights movement inherited an expanding democracy . . .
. . . it was perhaps the first time in American history when it looked possible for the electorate not to be almost entirely white and male.

Minorities don't willingly give up their power.

People who inherit things tend to think they are entitled.

Nope . . .
. . . if you want a democracy, you have to work for it.

Maybe the problem is us.

Maybe we're in this mess because too many people took democracy for granted.

Too many people expected other people to do the work . . .
People are good at conjuring up possible problems and possible disaster.

We really don't have much in common with Belarus.

Learn to find solutions.

Trump and the GOP will keep putting up barriers.

Find ways around them.

I'm not sure if you've noticed . . .
. . .but Trump is sinking in the polls. He knows how to read the polls. So does the RNC.

What Trump wants you to do is spread the word that it's all over and everyone should roll over and give up.

If it were so easy to fix elections, we'd have a Republican House.

Rant over.😉
Mistake. I meant ethnic majorities don't willingly give up power.

It's late, and as I was writing, I realized that within 10 years, whites will no longer be a majority. That's scary for some people, and I garbled my sentence.

Apologies.
There IS a lot of pessimism on Twitter.

A goal of active measures is to get people to lose confidence in democratic institutions. When that happens, it's all over.

Trump does something outrageous.
People panic.
They think 'it's all over.'
Win for Trump. https://twitter.com/MonpotLeDevin/status/1293033875736629249
