[THREAD ABOUT THE ZAND DYNASTY LAKI(BRUNCH OF LUR) KURDS WHO RULED IRAN 1750-1794]
As per previously i will layout the historical facts and events before covering my own take. The lost potential of one of the most forward thinking Iranian dynasties ;

1. The history ;

1.Karim Khan Zand: Karim Kahn was the first of the zand rulers ( Vakil-e Ra'aya of Iran) coming to power after the fall of the Afsharid dynasty.
Karim Kahn took over a country ravaged with the devastation of War ,40 years of which. The devastation tool a toll/

/on the country but iran due to Karim Khan's efforts was able to emerge with a renewed sense of tranquility , security and Prosperity , inviting back the British east India company increasing the country's commerce alongside moving his capital to Shiraz,the province that hosted/

/the Achaemenid Imperial capital of persepolis. He embarked on multiple architectural projects there.

It is noteworthy that in 1750 Karim Kahn Refused the Title of Shahnshah (king of kings) referring to himself as (vakil e Ra'aya) Meaning the Advocate of the people.

Karim Kahn Zand was one of the most benevolent and beloved Rulers of iran , He had a sincere interest in the welfare and wellbeing of his people. Tales of his generosity and Fairness are famed till this day.
A most impressive man who manged to pacify hia country while/

Sitting on a modest Rug, Rejecting any throne alongside the title of Shahnshah. a Ruler who was not corrupted by pleasures and desires but a man who lived , worked for his people and country.

2. The ottoman war :
Karim Kahn being a strategist had his eyes on the city of basra which was important to the British East India company. Karim khan also did not control the imam Reza shrine in Mashhad which was more reason to invade ottoman controlled Mesopotamia For the holy/

/shrines of Najaf and Kerbalah. When the ottoman ruler of iraq Omar Pasha started exacting payment from iranian pilgrims who were visiting the holy shrines happened , it gave Karim Kahn a casus belli to invade Ottoman controlled Mesopotamia.

Karim khan proceeded to send an army under the command of Ali morad khan zand that clashed with the ottomans in Kurdistan to keep them tied up from Karim khan's actual Target , the important trading port of basra which Karim Kahn sent a force of 30,000 under sadeq khan.a

After a year of siege and encirclement on the city of basra the Zand forces manged to capture the city with minium loss of life , starving and smiting The ottoman Vermin out (may their descendant never find peace , dried shit of Ahirman) thus securing victory to the Zand forces/

/ while the zagros front was relatively peaceful and the economical objective of the war was gained , a military victory with minimal losses was Achieved. After the capture of basra the Zands controlled both of the major ports in the Persian gulf (basra and bushehr).

3. Culture and the arts :
The peace and prosperity that was established by the zand dynasty allowed the Arts to flourish again that resulted in what is called zand art that survived on to the era of the hedonistic Rule of the ahirmanic Spawns that are the Qajar dynasty.

4. The downfall & The Qajars ;
The qajars were rhe biggest enemies of the Zand having a long lived Rivalry. After the Death of Karim Kahn in 1779 after a 6 month struggle with tuberculosis , the Vile qajars led by Agha Muhammad Khan began Advancing against the Zand Kingdom/

/ it is Worthy to note that Karim Khan had Agha Muhammad Khan captured but treated him like an honored guest even Taking his advice on political manners , which shows the truth of the famed benevolence of Karim khan. His kindness however was rewarded by treachery from the Qajars/

/ especially Agha Muhammad who began advancing as soon as Karim Kahn passed away. Eventually Lotf Ali khan(the portrait is of him) a grand nephew of Karim khan declared himself King in 1789 , much of his 5 year reign was spent in war with Qajars. Soon after assuming the Title/r

/ his rival Agha Muhammad Khan , who was treated so honorably by Karim Kahn marched on Shiraz trying to capture the new zand ruler. Lotf Ali khan met in battle with the Qajars led by Agha Muhammad which he lost but managed to still hold shiraz and survive. //

/ much of lotf Ali Khan's reign was warring and trying to find allies kn governs who usually betrayed him. The final treachery came from the ruler of bam who's brother was in the hand of the Qajars and they threatened him of his Death if he doesn't co-operate which he did/

/lotf ali khan was captured nearby and attacked by 14 men which , he single handedly Fought valiantly and held them off for Two hours just as The loin of Mehr on his sacred banner would fight off a pack of honorless hyenas , but alas just as with a lion the numerical superiority/

/of the vile scum overcame him and resulted in him being taken to Agha Muhammad Khan (remember treated honourably like a guest by Karim Kahn Zand) who later with the outmost lack of Honor and honesty nor any virtue that is associated with the Qajars , he proceeded to blind/

/lotf ali khan and kept him imprisoned in Tehran while regularly torturing him until eventually choking the Noble lotf Ali khan to death by his vile hands in 1794 Thus bringing an end to one of the most benevolent and forward-thinking dynasties in iranian history.

[ A TAKE ON THE LOST POTENTIAL OF ONE OF THE MOST PROMISING IRANIAN DYNASTIES ] in Karim Khan we see a ruler compassionate and enlightened enough , a man who went against the Spirit of his.
In time when absolute monarchy was a norm,Karim Kahn Zand chose the title /

/ of the advocate of people over the royal and prestigious title of shahenshah , After the devastating wars iran went through the zand dynasty worked on bringing back economical prosperity more than anything , going to wars capturing vital ports. We also see in their time/

/ which was extremely short-lived an advancement in the Arts and culture , one of the most short lived dynasties due to treachery managed to achieve much and more in many Fields in a spawn of 44 years only before being dishonourably killed off by a dynasty that is one among/

/the most depressing in Iranian history. In the zand dynasty we can see a modernisation that started as early as the 18th century , an effort that was most promising if it was carried on.But due to their leniency with their enemies and treating them with Honour it brought about/

/their own downfall. Their Mazdaian efforts and spirit , their modesty and benevolence , like of desire and over indulgence and focusing on their job as the advocates of the people not The overlords of the people was brought down by an ahirmanic lust for power and hedonism.

/a tribe that rewards Honour with treachery who's negligence,overindulgence and incompetence caused a nation to be set back hundreds of years.The fall of the Zand to the Qajar is one vital moment that damged a nation heavily.If zand efforts were carried out today wud be different
