Here's an idea: Instead of (solely) focusing on White megachurches defiantly holding mass gatherings, why not *also* contrast with perspectives of Black-led megachurches (like Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, The Potter's House, West Angeles COGIC) on why their views differ.
I don't know of any predominantly Hispanic or predominantly Asian megachurches offhand.

Would be interesting to hear why a nearby Black megachurch differs from its White counterpart some miles away, in California or Texas (since that's where many of these churches tend to be).
Why aren't Black-heavy churches in NYC (Brooklyn Tabernacle; Christian Cultural Center; Abyssinian Baptist Church, Greater Allen AME, etc) defying gov's orders? Don't they care about religious liberty? :) Don't they see this "attack on churches" as spiritual warfare?
I wonder what reporters would learn once they start asking these pastors questions about how their congregants have been impacted by COVID-19, which has been hitting Black and Hispanic people at a disproportionate rate.
It's interesting isn't it... Is it a privilege for prominent White churches to defy government mandates on mass gatherings with the defense of "obeying God" while notable Black churches choose to obey gov't and heed #COVID19 restrictions, not pitting faith against gov't?
Sure there are a whole slew of issues/complications, but it's interesting to note the differences -- it *seems* churches most likely to defy state mandates on gatherings are predominantly White.

While predom Black churches likely focused on social justice, not religious liberty.
Ha! Is there a way to fit this White Evangelical #RiotsToRevival movement that seems intent on overshadowing a Black justice movement in there, too?

I mean. Why does history often show White churches on a different page...? Is this how 2020 history will be written?
