I made the news everybody!

To anyone who said that a vigil doesnt do anything- here’s a thread of what a vigil does-

The lebanese diaspora has been shaken to the core. Instead of feeling guilty for not being in lebanon, there’s much more we can do- we’re in a position of privilege and attending a vigil is a great way of exercising that privilege we have to help out our family in Leb

It gives our community the opportunity to come together and give each other much needed comfort and messages of hope- because of this vigil, an amazing artist (@/yara_salhab on ig) sold over 200 shirts where 100% of the proceeds go to leb (pls check them out theyre SICK- i got 1)

Canada promised 5mil in relief- CEOs and gov officials cane to that vigil and announced a funraiser for an additional 2.5mil from Ontario on top of that- http://humanitariancoalition.akaraisin.com/ui/crisisinlebanonfundraising/participant/6117594 - PLEASE DONATE IF YOU CAN

Most importantly- it was an amazing opportunity to not only share the news and gain the support of those around us who may be unaware, but also to show our friends and family back home that we got their backs no matter what. Pls check out the links in this thread and SHARE
