I know on Twitter we're supposed to act cool but today was my 1st day back in studio doing what I truly love in over 5 months & can't stop smiling

If you ever catch me or anyone in our industry ever acting as if we aren't blessed to cover sports for a living, please call it out
Like many, I've been in a dark spot over the past few months because what I love to do and what felt like my identity was abruptly halted.

It's been good in ways to reevaluate your life and it's helped me realize that I'm so incredibly lucky to have my dream job.
In our industry there are perceptions to upkeep and so often some get caught up in the false thinking that our opinion means that much more or that they are better than an average sports fan.

We aren't. We just got lucky to find a way in this profession.
The truth is, is that I'm just a lucky sports fan. I won a silly radio contest in 2003 & been trying to fake it like I actually knew what I was doing for nearly the last 2 decades frantically worrying when someone was going to figure out that I didn't belong in this "profession"
In my office I've got this stupid little sign. It's a number....10,000

It's a way to remind myself that they day that I don't think it's a damn privilege to do cover sports for a living, to remember there are 10,000 people that would take your job in a heartbeat, so be grateful
I have no funny or profound way to end this thread so I now will head to the kitchen and eat a bare minimum of 6 double stuffed Oreos.

Love y'all.
