His talent was evident, just look at his good games, you can’t look THAT good without talent. I don’t think he was a particularly poor reader of the game defensively or had poor defensive instincts, he just lacks any and all composure. Made him rash and a terrible decision maker.

He looked like a child in an adult’s body sometimes. Don’t know if it was confidence or nerves or what, but he just looked like he didn’t have total control of his coordination, which is so strange for somebody that athletically (and technically) gifted.

One of football’s great conundrums. It wasn’t that we spent £42m on a dud nobody rated either. EVERYBODY was linked with him in 13/14. He was seen as the complete package, and we thought he was Kompany’s heir. And he really fucking should have been man. Still love him anyway.
