We& #39;ve had some common questions about our upcoming #StudyandStruggle program. Please visit our FAQ page to see if we& #39;ve addressed your question or to add a new one. Here& #39;s some below: https://www.studyandstruggle.com/discussion/frequently-asked-questions">https://www.studyandstruggle.com/discussio...
Q: I have incarcerated friends who I would like to include in my discussion group. Could you give me tips about how to get the materials to them and best include them? Thanks!
A: Wonderful! We& #39;d advise printing and mailing all "required" readings and any supplemental ones that your group decides about 2 weeks before your discussion is scheduled. You may be able to send full paperback books directly from the publisher (depending on state).
Q: I will be traveling around during the fall. I& #39;m not sure which public group to join.
A: Feel free to join any public group, but it might make sense to choose where you have the most permanent community or connection for future organizing.
Q: What is the difference between a "pen pal" and "supporting an incarcerated person"?
A: Our pen pal program will link you with another participant in #StudyandStruggle (they may be incarcerated or may not). We& #39;ll be sending out addresses soon, so please make sure to fill out the Google form if you haven& #39;t yet. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfk_-VX-khmLL1Wox8KNSamwRyfLfY7f9B6Z1SmDYlsFtZy7g/viewform">https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e...
A (cont.): Supporting an incarcerated person means you commit to sending required reading materials to someone inside several weeks before each session. This is being facilitated by @AbolitionChurch, who will reach out separately by email with instructions.
If you have any more questions, feel free to also just add a comment in this thread and we& #39;ll try and help out!
