Morse& #39;s defense is that he never tried to pressure those students into things they didn& #39;t want to do. But the issue is that the situation itself put pressure on those students, and the fact that Morse refuses to recognize he shouldn& #39;t put students in that situation is a problem
That doesn& #39;t make him Roy Moore, or even John Conyers. But it does make him careless with other people and unwilling to consider how his power might be affecting their perception of him, even when he really should be.
I feel like a simple "didn& #39;t realize that some people were uncomfortable about saying no to me, I& #39;ll be more careful in the future" statement would have made things a lot different, but he wasn& #39;t willing to say that, so here we are.
