Ok✨ IT'S ASTROTIME!✨

Did you know that the lifetime of stars varies EXTREMELY between low and high mass stars?

Massive stars live VERY short lives (~3 million years) and very low mass stars can live for TRILLIONS of years!

Wait... How old is the universe again?

Our universe is only about 13.8 Billion years old, so the first low mass stars ever created have a life time over 100 times LONGER THAN THE AGE OF THE UNIVERSE 😱

It's very hard to visualise these large numbers, too many zeros 🤣 So let's compare to our human life expectancy...
The difference in life time between very low and very massive stars is as if humans had a life expectancy ranging from 80 YEARS down to...

40 MINUTES!!!

That is an insane difference but the cosmos tends to like extremes, what can I do 😉
