We romanticize inter tribal marriages so much and we forget or ignore how difficult they can be. Culture clash is actually a thing.
Example; I met a friend today, I was wearing on red henna and he found extremely weird and cringy while a kano man will be excited to see a woman wearing henna.
Another example is when we had cultural day in uni and I decided to dress up as kanuri and I carried my turaren wuta to the venue while @Kabir_ae was impressed by the scent I was escorted out of the venue with a security because the people at the venue didn’t like the SMELL.
Ps my uni is in the Southwest.
It’s not an issue of who is right and wrong, the point here is that in as much as tribe shouldn’t matter in choosing a life partner it should also be a considering factor, it’s the little issues that build up and lead to big problems in marriage.
Love is never enough to keep a marriage!
