Out at the Florida Mall right now about 20 people are gathered, protesting his death and calling for justice.
Group is now at the intersection of OBT and Sand Lake Road, stopping traffic at some points, in the intersection. Most traffic keeps going, many honk.

They yell: “Black Lives Matter!”
“Say his name: Salay Melvin!”
“No Justice, No Peace!”
“Hands up, Don’t shoot!”
Many cars going by the protestors frighteningly fast. @OrangeCoSheriff has four cars here blocking some traffic. A lot still goes by.
People keep showing up.
Azalya Smith is out here with her boyfriend and 3-year-old daughter. (They’re off to the side because of traffic)
“I definitely want her to see what’s going on — this is a big deal,” Smith said. Her boyfriend is Salay’s cousin & said they want the truth, and body cam, to come out
Miles Mulrain, an activist for police accountability, yells into a megaphone: “Orange County just killed a black man on Friday at Florida Mall.”
