What is everyone's thoughts about the UK R&B scene ??? Do you feel like the UK R&B scene isn’t financially flourishing in the way other genres are?
There’s obviously a discussion and I will love to introduce ‘Breaking Notes’, a platform that is showcasing R&B movement mainly in the UK scene.
We have plenty of great singers in the UK R&B scene which has been steadily growing, artists such as Mnelia, Shae Universe, Ling Hussle, Etta Bond, Ama Lou and Jeremine Riley just to name a few.

So, let’s talk about the UK R&B.
Frustratingly the UK R&B scene isn’t financially flourishing in the way other genres are.

We keep hearing “We don’t have a proper R&B scene in the UK”, “The R&B scene is limited” or “We don't show enough appreciation“, yet there’s probably 100s of artists out there in the genre.
That’s why I want to show appreciation to @1creepa & kwaku, who both taken a big leap of faith for the genre. The R&B scene in the UK is alive and a lot of undiscovered talent needs to have spotlight shed upon them
The aim of this platform is for the underground to be heard & this movement will have many artists to thrive on what they do best and that is music

The platform launched their first video : Leila McKenzie - ‘Space’
