So...

I hit 25K followers last night

Milestones are kind of meaningless

But they're a good excuse to celebrate

And of course, thank all of you for your support

Keep reading the thread below to learn how I did it
If we're talking growth only

There are two phases

Phase one is all about networking and connections

You need to establish yourself in your community

Basically, if you want a lot of followers, get a little first
Knowing this, I did three things early on

The first was replying to larger account's tweets... a lot

If you do this organically

And legitimately add to the conversation

You'll get noticed by other accounts, both big and small
The second thing I did was DM larger accounts

If I could, I would offer something valuable, like a copywriting tip

If I couldn't do that, I would send a message saying *specifically* why I liked their content

Again, keep this genuine/organic, and you'll get noticed
Finally, I turned their content into more content

I made lists like "X Tweets On Investing" that compiled people's tweets on a subject

I also sometimes did this with just one person, "X Lessons I learned From Y Account"

This shows a lot more effort than "follow lists"
Those three got my foot in the door

Then I moved on to phase #2, which was slowly learning which tweets stick and which don't

I was not "naturally good" at this

My early content was extremely generic and not very engaging

But, after around 5 months, I found my voice
This is when my growth hit a ramp

I had a base of followers in my community already

I also had support from some larger creators who I had interacted with a lot

Then I mastered the art of short-form content, and I started gaining at least 2-3K followers per month
So, in short, I...

1. Networked to get a foot in the door
2. Got legitimately good at writing tweets

You'll find a lot of "growth hacks" on here

But I think they're largely irrelevant

Those two are your drivers

Master them, and there will be no limit to your potential
