Just getting into Marvle: Crisis Protocol and really enjoying it. A lot of familar faces from warmachine around in both developement and as players. Hoping more players pick it up going forward so we have a good scene for it :)
Should be noted I have 0 interest in Marvel or superheroes but I really like the game and the system. Its also a great low model count competitive game in case players with that preference happen to look for something new currently ;)
Building up power from taking damage is genius. It makes mindlessly attacking things be a very real drawback. It also creates a bit of a "rubberband" and helps the game feel action packed even after other games usually start dying down. The "dazed" mechanic helps hugely with this
Dazed in short: Each model have 2 sides on their card, healthy and injured. When a model is dazed it can no longer be targeted/damaged until the next turn. This makes sure each model gets to make an impact before it dies.
A few points for me about the game (disclaimer, I have only played like 10 "proper" games and dont have any massive exprience).

First off: Proper plastic models! (hard sprue one). As a new game that launched straight into covid it still has been the easiest to find product for.
Scenario focus is hard and very impact full. Selection is a part of competitive play and amde of 2 parts, 1 chosen by each player. With enough randomization to avoid locking down on a single one being a viable long term strategy
