BIGBANG’s MAMA 2013 is legendary bc G-Dragon became the first and only SOLOIST to this day to get artist of the year.

now this is when shit gets a lil messy for mnet.
G-Dragon straight up called out MAMA for being pushovers in his rap freestyle while performing at MAMA 2014 with Taeyang.

meanwhile Taeyang made history as a soloist and got these awards at MAMA 2014:
-best male artist (Taeyang)
-song of the year (Taeyang)
-vocal performance (Taeyang)

after MAMA 2014, everyone went crazy bc of GD’s rap and then people thought BIGBANG and GD would never be invited to MAMA again...

but then the next year mnet put their pride to the FLOOR and personally went to ask BIGBANG and YG last minute to join the MAMA 2015 lineup.

and THEN at MAMA 2015’s soundcheck Daesung called out mnet in front of the camera and mnet videographer for twisting people’s words just to make media headlines.
they literally have no chill

-worldwide favourite artist

now this is where it starts getting suspicious af:
BIGBANG was completely left out of nominations for MAMA 2017 w the songs in dec 2016. IU was nominated before for her song but MAMA just left out BIGBANG despite their songs being a hit the first 3 months of 2017

their songs released in 2016 still won in other award shows in 2017 but ofc MAMA didn’t even NOMINATE them bc they knew BIGBANG wouldn’t join the lineup since they were doing solo promos

and then in actual MAMA 2017 show
GD didn’t win best male artist when EVERYONE knew he shoud’ve, even the winner himself was shocked he won.

YG pulled all their artists starting with MAMA 2016 and guess what happened to MAMA’s ratings???

they went

someone’s gonna try and come for me for the ratings but just shut up and look at the ratings in MAMA 2019 too despite them giving out like so much screentime to artists, they still couldn’t even pull 2%

in conclusion, GD is always right and his rap proved to be true.
MAMA turned into attendance awards and pushovers, they hate BIGBANG for having the boldness to call them out, oh and their ratings flop without BIGBANG.
