Ontario's 54 Land Registry Offices will be closing their doors in October. It is not clear where the remaining records will be housed or made available for historical research. These are not easy-to-use records but they have answered some big questions for me. 1/3
Discussions are underway between the Ministry responsible, @ArchivesOntario, @OntGenSociety, APOLROD and others, but please add your voice by telling us how you have used LRO records for historical research. And help us spread the word. 2/3
As historians, starting points and the scope of info we need can be very different from someone establishing title for real estate transactions. We need to make that clear. Examples in response to this tweet would be good. We've only 2 months. @ArchivesOntario @OntGenSociety 3/3
