. @esrailian executed Kirk Kerkorian& #39;s vision to perfection to produce a film about the Armenian Genocide.

Eric deserves a lot of credit for making a movie that meant the most to the late billionaire magnate who once owned MGM movie studios, and MGM Resorts International. https://twitter.com/esrailian/status/1290120697017032705">https://twitter.com/esrailian...
Kirk Kerkorian personally funded the $100 million budget that was required to pull off "The Promise" shortly before he passed away in 2015.

During the Armenian Genocide, Kerkorian& #39;s own family escaped to the US, but many of his relatives were killed. https://deadline.com/2017/04/the-promise-kirk-kerkorian-movie-1202072621/">https://deadline.com/2017/04/t...
Kirk Kerkorian is one of the most fascinating figures of the 20th century.

In the 1930s, he worked for 40 cents an hour as a day laborer at MGM Studios, only to then buy and sell the company three times after he amassed his fortunes as a casino tycoon in Las Vegas.
Kirk Kerkorian is personally responsible for bringing big-time #boxing to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the casino he built and owned.

“Rifle Right” Kerkorian was once a boxer himself and even won a Pacific Coast amateur welterweight championship.
Mike Tyson did not fight at the MGM Grand until Kirk Kerkorian brokered a 6-fight deal that paid Tyson over $100M after his release from prison.

Through the deal, Don King also became the 2nd largest shareholder of MGM Grand, receiving 600K shares to the tune of a then $15M.
When Tyson bit Holyfield& #39;s ear, the business ramifications were massive.

Tyson& #39;s Nevada license was revoked, MGM severed its ties to Tyson & Kerkorian bought out King’s 600K MGM Grand shares for $27.5M.

Tyson was never again promoted by King, and he sued King for $100M in 1998.
