GUITARS I LIKE: A thread
I picked up my first guitar after cops busted my skull in 2003. It was, like everything else I& #39;d ever do for the next fifteen years, a possibility to explore in a life without a point.

I& #39;ll never be very good at it, to be honest.
But the shitty starter Ibanez I played with (a bit) and against (a lot) taught me an important lesson: electric guitars are contingent instruments, made of parts that can be changed, worked on, and improved.
Dimebag& #39;s last Washburn was the only time our aesthetics ever overlapped. The elegance! The simplicity! The clarity of focus! The ANGLES!

The angles were RIGHT!

The Southern Cross instantly codified what my guitar should be. It was the first ML I ever wanted.
The Dean ML Knight is the *last* ML I& #39;ll ever want, in no small part because I& #39;ve actually got one; her name is Leah, my unloved first wife.

I need to work on her a bit, but this is what peak performance looks like, and there *are* no guitars like her.
I like Explorer shapes! A lot of the ML& #39;s appeal but more open to interpretation.

A pity that the ones I want most were all discontinued during the Bush administration.
(Speaking of guitars that got away: the OTHER Dean I drooled over through its entire production run was their copper Heirloom resonator. But it& #39;s a bit of a side note.)
I should finish this thread but who reads it anyways
Since apparently people do read this thread: Telecasters! My favorite product out of the Fender lineup, partly for its actual tone and partly for how plastic and malleable the design is.
