I’m not white. I don’t subscribe to, nor have I read, any of the traditions of Abraham ( #Judaism, #Islam, #Christianity, etc.). Here’s my list of some take-away’s from this #book. I grouped & re-arranged them based on context:

Group 1:

“We have been trained to read the Western scriptures incorrectly, especially the Old Testament (Tanakh). We read the Old Testament as if the U.S. is the chosen people of Israel. Turtle Island is not the Promised Land for European Americans.” (page 187)
“Exodus (Shemot)… Promised Land… Deuteronomy (Devarim)… Land Covenant… A reflection of the Hebrew People’s relationship with God… relationship to their land was a to be a barometer of their relationship with God…
Towards the end of Samuel’s (Shemuel) life, the People of Israel rejected God and demanded a physical, human king. They wanted an Earthly Empire.” (page 41)
“Empires are concerned with self-preservation, conquest and expansion. The means of an empire are military power and financial resources.” (page 58)

“Jeremiah (Yirmeyahu) 7: 5-7 was written and intended solely for the Old Testament (Tanakh) nation of Israel. It does not apply to white Americans or the American Church. The Western Church, the colonial nations of Europe, and the USA...
do not have a Land Covenant with the God of Abraham.” (page 130)
