There are so many brilliant coaches! Especially those who are now proactively reaching out to their former/current gymnasts & getting involved out of concern and wanting to help-with no defensiveness or hiding. We need all coaches on board with us and part of the #gymnastalliance

Coaches need protecting too 
Education is key!!! It helps coaches to be safe and in turn helps protect gymnasts- a win-win! #gymnastalliance
(Plus actually supports healthier, longer and more fruitful, successful careers- without burn out, health issues etc!)

There is a difference between tough coaching and abusive coaching. Spot the difference in the communication with the gymnast

The only consistent and fair approach: innocent until proven guilty. Trustworthy, independent investigation is essential, for gymnasts and coaches. #gymnastalliance
Coaches are human beings too! Cases need to be dealt with appropriately. But human after human will fail if the culture is off. Individuals need to be held accountable but are not the "real enemy". We need to help people reflect, grow & change. The culture is the real target.
This realisation blew my mind. Multiple truths and good/bad can exist simultaneously, you don't have to choose one or the other, this is not a movie. #gymnastalliance
Finally, gymnastics is still a wonderful sport!! 
Don't get bogged down but equally don't forget the bigger picture and our goals- things do need to change. We're in this for the long haul so buckle up, and breathe #gymnastalliance

Do listen, talk, keep an open mind, learn &remind yourself what's important @ the end of the day.
Together we'll change gymnastics for the better, so there's no more pain than necessary! And all gymnasts can keep the love alive #gymnastalliance
