Dreaming of a Cishuman coalition to oppose the looming Transhumanist menace.

Transhumanism truly represents both the final phase in the development of modern Liberalism, and its necessary and logical endpoint. Here's why:

First wave Liberalism stressed the unchangeability of certain base tendencies of human nature (such as greed and envy), while second wave Liberalism sought to change that allegedly fixed nature by changing the social environment (social engineering).

Third wave Liberalism now seeks to radically change and perfect human nature through technical and scientific means (at the popular level in the transgender movement, and at the elite level in transhumanism), thus continuing the trajectory established by the previous two waves.

This trajectory is itself only a specific instance of the more general Liberal project of making us "masters and possessors of nature" (including now even of human nature) set in motion by the early moderns (Descartes, Bacon, etc.) and the Scientific Revolution.

Liberalism's technical and scientific mastery of nature has allowed us to increasingly control and refashion the environment in the image of our own Promethean desiring.

Realities that for our ancestors were considered "given" aspects of the human condition are now seen as mere technical obstacles to be overcome in the pursuit of the ever more perfect self-determination of a radically autonomous and sovereign Will to Power.

These "givens" include almost everything that forms the basis of our identity in this world: sex, race, ethnicity, family, rootedness in time and place, and the human life cycle of birth, marriage, procreation, and (finally) death.

Transhumanism promises to abolish *all* these givens and make at least some of us (presumably a supranational elite class of globalist intellectuals and wealthy bankers) into androgynous "superbeings" raised in hatcheries and technologically augmented to an unimaginable degree.

These radically self-determining posthumans, freed from the "constraints" of historical and even biological necessity will finally abolish even the distinction between nature and human artifice, and thereby usher in the final apotheosis of the Liberal / modern project.

"And ye shall be as gods."
