#ccITstv not to mention that the original Losers (richie, eddie, ben, stan) consider him the de facto leader of the group, each of expressing that bill is the "strongest" of them all -- in one way or another

#ccITstv there's also the fact that bill is known as steve's self-insert, wc became wildly obvious to me in his section in ch3 which indulgently details bill-steve's college writing experience and beliefes & how he stuck it to the man (or creative writing instructor in this case)
