Over the next few days, we will focus on developmental projects in rural communities. As at May 2020, the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency had executed 788 community development micro-projects in 158 rural communities.

The projects include the provision of: clean water, healthcare facilities, classroom blocks, rural electrification etc. The projects are World Bank assisted with counterpart funding provided by the Oyo State Government and 10% of the project fund contributed by the community.

Under this initiative, the communities decide which projects to be undertaken, contribute 10% of the funds required and take ownership of the execution and maintenance while OSCSDA monitors implementation.
