How to incentivize better eating without triggering EDs and starve cycles: a thread

1. Tax breaks for restaurants and takeaways that serve high fibre or low fat options (all meals must include 30% salad/veg, baked instead of fried options, smaller portions etc).
2. Total ban on ALL diet aids/books that restrict food eating to under 800cl a day, or encourage serious periods of food deprivation (this triggers serious binge/fast behaviours in most dieters, resulting in a 97% failure rate)
3. Instead of promoting fast weight loss, promote HEALTHY EATING BEHAVIOURS. 'Traffic light' portions (red, yellow, green) so people know what a normal/large/small meal size should look like.
4. Legally demand that all products are sold with clear nutritional labelling on sizing. Not '45g portion of 270g/ 500g is 430cl of 240g product'. List whole calorie content, and sell in product portions of 1 to 4 maximum.
5. Have REALISITIC health role models in media, modelling and advertising. Normalize a 9 stone woman, normalize size 10 models, and normalize untoned, healthy bodies.
