Since I'm stuck in bed cause I'm a big dummy and fell on my back at work, I thought 'hey why not amuse myself by creating a big ol' thread of metal bands with like <10k monthly listeners on Spotify that I've been jamming to for a while now?'. So yea, that's what this is.
Arch/Matheos
Prog Metal
ML (Monthly Listeners): <4000
My Fav Album: Winter Ethereal

The reunion of Fates Warning founding fathers, John Arch and Jin Matheos. Big, epic progressive metal with absolutely SOARING vocals from start to finish. Utterly extravagant and intricate.
Artificial Brain
Death Metal
ML: <4000
My Fav Album: Infrared Horizon

Blistering, dense, swaggering death metal that eschews its genres lineage with gore and guts and shoots straight with horrific sci-fi as its inspiration. 1st album = brutal, 2nd = blackened.
Atlantean Codex
Epic Doom
ML: <5000
My Fav Album: The Course of Empire

Seemingly named after the Thomas Cole paintings, Codex go BIG. Rarely does a song go less that 6 mins and I love it. Expansive, heavy and melodic with clean, power-metal esque vocals to top it all off.
Black Royal
Death Doom
ML: ~5500
My Fav Album: Firebride

Death Doom doesn't really cover it. Lightbringer is a harsh slab of stoner-infused death metal with emphasis on the Stoner. Firebride turns up the Death and injects more melodic and grandeur into the party. Gimme both.
Crypt Sermon
Epic Doom
ML: ~9000
My Fav Album: The Ruins of Fading Light

One of my absolute jams. From the fantastic baritone vocals to the NWOBHM inspired dual leads, and to the lyrical fusion of occult and religious allegory. Out of the Garden is good, Ruins is Fantastic.
Firelink
Symphonic Black Metal
ML: <3000
My Fav Album: The Innervating Fire

Dark Souls inspired black metal. That's the elevator pitch. How can I not like it? Banshee vocals and endless tremolo melded with slower, melodic moments that serve as calm amidst the wailing storm.
Fractal Universe
Tech/Prog Death
ML: <3000
My Fav Album: Rhizomes of Insanity

Fractal ticks my technical wankery box that I've had since discovering PTH. Solid tech progressive with strong use of synths but right now they are just 'good' and not really pushing the envelope.
Haunter
Blackened Death (?)
ML: <1000
My Fav Album: Sacramental Death Qualia

Gorgeous cover drew me in. Chunky, strange, murky blackened death made me stay. Thrinodia is more pure black metal compared to Qualia's progressive weirdness. Only 5 tracks but there's a LOT going on.
Horrendous
Death Metal
ML: ~10,000
My Fav Album: Anareta / Idol

90's era Death combined with that sweet Swedish death metal sound. Ignore The Chills, it's meat-and-potatoes death metal - Ecdysis is where the ride really starts. My personal fav tech death band of the decade.
Leeched
Hardcore
ML: ~4000
My Fav Album: To Dull The Blades of Your Abuse

Ugly. Punishing. Uncompromising. I wouldn't have it any other way. A disgusting amalgamation of sludge, death, and grind coated with the sonic grime and atmosphere of industrial metal. Proceed cautiously
