something i find interesting about the highschool caste is how the characters personalities are different as they haven't been subjected to the same trauma as their canon versions. characters who shared the same pain and became friends through it have different experiences now.

EMA shared a friendship through their dreams and wish to go outside, so Eren is less involved in their friendship has he has no real connection to them other than his lack of being able to make friends.

In RBA, they grew up together but Annie was always in the sidelines. after being chosen to go to Paradis she still withdrawed her emotions and left them to go to the MP. Same with Highschool caste, where shes not in their friend group.

Historia and Ymir never had their development, and Historia had no reason to hide her real personality but also had no reason to develop emotions (aside from the whole school drama they had)

And Jean never had his Marco development, so he remained a Jerk. Connie and Sasha always were destined to have a friendship though since they're both optimistic idiots

also, Erwins dad probably never died (or atleast died naturally) so he became a teacher after him. Hanji's backstory is unknown but i guess Levi went through the same thing just changing the survey corp to school as it was mentioned he was a mob boss like in canon
