It's in some ways a persuasive & interesting article. How to explain what's going on? Quasi-military management consultancy how-to with a pinch of fresh russophobia? Or follow-the-money, follow-the-networks to the neoliberal think-tanks where money makes thought (& vice versa)? https://twitter.com/BettGunther/status/1291248651797434368
A bit of old-fashioned sleuthing does find the connections. As @doctor_oxford says of this thread by @JolyonMaugham, "this thread beggars belief." Not only belief. It beggars us, & their friends in high places will bugger us up: https://mobile.twitter.com/JolyonMaugham/status/1291244082145177600
Our tragedy is that this kind of sleuthing should have exposed from the very beginning a campaign of disparate forces to disrupt, disable & damage #JeremyCorbyn. Like him or loathe him, he (with the wide support that he had) was the one chance reason had: https://mobile.twitter.com/PeriHankey/status/1291101393584041985
It cannot be said that nobody knew. July 2016, @leninology: "The putschists’ plan...was to orchestrate such media saturation of criticism & condemnation...to create such havoc within the Labour Party, that [ #JeremyCorbyn] would feel compelled to resign." https://www.telesurenglish.net/opinion/Anatomy-of-a-Failed-Coup-in-the-UK-Labour-Party-20160707-0009.html
We had that & much more. But 'well-meaning' people were so locked into their intellectual snobbery, their scorn & biting faint praise for #JeremyCorbyn, their shame that he'd been right when they had been wrong, their distrust of ordinary people, that they gave us #BorisJohnson.
