The government has today published its long-dreaded paper on future #planning reforms. I'm afraid I'm going to have to say something about it here because it really is bloody awful.

In his introduction, #NotMyPM @BorisJohnson refers to our current troubling times in these terms "as we approach the second decade of the 21st century". BJ, my dear chum, we've just finished the second decade of the 21st century and we're already 8 months into the third...

(Pedants please note, I am using the 21st century definition of a century. Even if you use the (correct) 20th century definition, we're still approaching the thrid decade.)
