Ren Hoek and Stimpson get rebooted despite it being so tied with John K because he's like "I'm the R&S guy! I'm good! I'm not owned!" and yet there's this excellent show from France that doesn't get the remake/remodel treatment

why didn't we get a Code Lyoko reboot
I'm not the right guy to read the room here - look at most tweets I've made about the funny Jewish comedy sex scandal man - and I shared a petition to at least get Bob Camp on board, but like

We have better shows

I didn't even like R&S

I'm not saying that to be cool
It never clicked for me and became part of my cultural vocabulary unlike Lyoko, ATLA, Invader Zim, Gravity Falls, Simpsons, Spongebob, etc.

It wasn't even in one ear, out the other - it just wasn't good to me.

And I like strange shit. I'm out of touch with my tastes.
I should be the right audience for the R&S reboot, but it just feels wrong. Like the existence of it is tantamount to being a dick to Katie and Robyn, who had to go through all that shit. Shit that I've had friends and family go through.

It's not like Allen and Beefheart
John K felt like he was compensating for something. Allen's at least a creepy dip who didn't socialize good - that's a tragedy. Beefheart was conditioned via bad record deals and rock stars acting like jerkwads to make critically-acclaimed music - he's at least an acid casualty.
But there's nothing tragic about John K outside of the women he hurt when he was a broken stair in the industry. The dude just felt insincere, felt so goddamned stodgy, unwilling to consider new avenues. He's antithetical to my very way of approaching media.
And they're rebooting R&S? I know, without his involvement, but people think "oh look, it's the crazy cartoon made by the pedophile who uses TOR browsers to buy 'references' for Sodie Pop and drove Robyn Bird out of animation because of his predation. I love Toast Boy."
Meanwhile, Thomas Romain and Tania Palumbo have a show that needs serious love that can do with a slightly more adult reboot. And they chose R&S?

Could finally option Lumberjanes into its own show. And they chose R&S?

Got so many crazy ideas that'll work, but R&S gets picked?
The reboot itself ain't a bad idea - the concept of a reboot - and I'm really not the right guy to even talk about this, but R&S doesn't need a reboot. Never did.

Give Bob Camp his own show. Give Katie Rice her own show.
Also if this thread gets popular, don't explain to me what Allen allegedly did. I know. I've known since 2013-14.
