I think about Ed Begley Jr. at least once a week. Not sure why. When I was a kid, my my was casual friends with him. He invited my mother, myself and my best friend to the set of the movie Greed when I was a little older.
In the early 90s, I used to see him ice skating every week at the rink that used to be at Valley Plaza, which was a shopping mall that used to be located near me.
And I guess he lives in my hood because I see him at least once a month at the Whole Foods down the street from my home. (He drives a Prius, in case you were wondering.)
On that set visit to Greed, I got to eat lunch across from Justine Bateman and that brother of hers who did the bad Teen Wolf sequel. What was his name? Jason, I think.

And Phil Hartman, at that table, as we all ate, hit on my mother. It was a sight to behold.
But then I got to wondering tonight, why did Ed Begley Jr. invite my mother and I to the set of this Michael J. Fox movie he was in? You've got to mean something to a dude for him to extend that invite.

Was ... was Ed Begley Jr. into my mom? He remembers her to this day...
I saw him at the market not that long ago and he introduced me to his daughter and remembered my mother and the way he spoke about her was so kind and now I'm thinking that if my mother played her cards differently, I could've been calling Ed Begley Jr. "daddy."
