That explosion still has me shaken up a lot.

I don't really like to talk about issues like this, but as someone whose heritage is from the Levant and the Arab world, I feel a call to action is appropriate.

Being from its next-door neighbor, Syria, I care a lot for Lebanon.

Beirut in particular is among my favorite cities in the world, and one family members have resided in for periods, and its heartbreaking to see something of this magnitude happen to it.

I pray for the victims and the city, and I plan to provide support in other ways as well.
