Earwigs freak me out a little so I decided to counter this with education.

We probably have all heard about the myths of them being dangerous or crawling in your ears.
So here are some earwig facts that make them a bit... Cute.
1. Earwigs are one of the few insects that actually care for their young and show maternal behaviors.

2. Even if a male (pincered) earwig does "bite" you, it hardly hurts if even. Akin to a mosquito bite.
3. Can be a garden pest but also an ally. They love plants and insects to eat. Of massive varieties.

4. Very rarely crawls in your ears. Never lays eggs on or inside a human.

5. They do not transfer any disease or sickness to other insects or animals.
6. Nature's recyclers. They are happy to eat their molts as well as egg shells.

7. Not huge predators. Prefer to pick up dead things.

8. They kinda cute to look at. I mean look at this face.
BONUS FACT:

Their ancestors are believed to have lived in Jurassic times. Making them one of the oldest living species on the planet.
