Some sensitive stuff is going to be discussed in this thread because while I don't like to rock the boat, I need to make my stance on this clear.

Like ngl for REASONS I would absolutely fly off the handle if someone called me a p*d*(and it would be incredibly cruel to make that insinuation about me)- so I really don't think being incredibly insulted by the name and becoming defensive is solid proof that someone is one.

Calling someone a p*do can RIGHTFULLY destroy their life- if they really are hurting actual human children, they deserve their life torn to pieces. But if they're not? How dare you. How dare you be so willing to stain someone's entire name over FAKE PEOPLE.

And it's not just that-- p*d*philes are demons from hell who deserve to die painfully, they are rightfully hated by anyone with ANY decency, it's a HUGE insult. So yeah, people are going to be pissed off when you call them one, and it's not just "protesting too much" you freaks.

And you know what? I get being extremely grossed out by someone shipping a 16yo with a 25yo or even a 20 year old. I would not follow that, for reasons. But a 17yo and a 19yo? That's just a fucking YA novel.

And if you think shipping a 17yo with a 19yo makes someone a p*do, why are you bothering with fanfic writers and not going after the hundreds of YA writers who are not teens who are writing about teens kissing and even having sex, and making millions?

Do you think the writers of ATLA/LOK are p*d*s? They're not teens, but both of those had teens in romantic relationships. So you should be bothered by the success of that series, if it's REALLY about that. Same with HP, even before JKR proved to be a TERF

Anyway, I'm done. I'm annoyed by all this, but I won't talk about it beyond this thread because it's very like... sensitive for me. I'm sure if you really think about it you can understand why.
