2004 : The College Dropout - Kanye West
One of the best debut albums of all time. Everything is perfect : the verses, instrumentals, skits, and features. Ye’s nostalgia factor is at it’s largest on this album for me.

2005 : Late Registration - Kanye West
Kanye proceeded to drop 2 classics back to back. This project is neck and neck with CD for me. Similar production styles but Ye becomes much more serious on a few heartfelt tracks.

2006 : Food & Liquor - Lupe Fiasco
Lupe is very underrated imo and this is my favorite project by him. Really nostalgic and memorable tracks. A feel good type project that Lupe showed high potential on.

2007 : Graduation - Kanye West
Ye is here yet again with another classic. Not tryna flood this thread with just ye projects but nothing in this year even comes close for me. So many classic tracks and personal fav ye artwork.

2008 : Tha Carter III - Lil Wayne
Wayne’s best project imo, as well as his most widely accepted piece of work. Very much of this album influenced many rappers today in terms of style and wordplay.

2009 : The Blueprint 3 - Jay Z
In my top 3 Hov projects no doubt. Some of my favorite collaborations that he has ever had. Really high replay value and dope sampling. Such a classic record.

2010 : My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West
Ye’s last appearance on the thread but his best. Such great artistry and musicianship. Very sonically pleasing as a whole. Not even one skip.

2011 : Take Care - Drake
Drizzy’s first appearance but will definitely not be his last. Top 3 Drake no doubt. Represents his rapping just as well as his r&b side. Really great collabs and so many memorable lines.

2012 : Channel Orange - Frank Ocean
Neck and neck with Blond to be Frank’s best. Such high replay value and amazing songwriting. Top notch vocals and creative production.

2013 : Nothing Was The Same - Drake
Drake upped his game on this album ever more than on Take Care. Some of his best verses ever and amazing production as usual. Top 2 Drake project.

2014 : 2014 Forrest Hills Drive - J. Cole
Cole’s best and it’s not close. One of the easiest 10’s i’ve ever heard and probably will ever hear. Amazing raw rapping talent and great instrumentals.

2015 : To Pimp a Butterfly - Kendrick Lamar
Probably the best of this thread. Top tier production, conceptual ideas and instrumentation. A strong message is converted throughout and one of the easiest listen throughs.

2016 : Views - Drake
One of my most unpopular opinions but this is Drake’s best. Not even one unenjoyable moment. I also have a lot of nostalgia with this project from seeing it live.

2017 : Flower Boy - Tyler, the Creator
Tyler’s only appearance other than a later honorable mention. Such an amazing album top to bottom. Experimental sounds but also simplistic rapping and vocals.

2018 : Astroworld - Travis Scott
One of the absolute best album rollouts I’ve ever personally witnessed. Really great continuity through each track and a new experimental sound came from Trav.

2019 : Revenge of the Dreamers 3 - Dreamville
Most collaborations of any album ever and all of them work so well. Got to see some of my favorite underrated artist work with Cole and many others. No skips, not even in the director’s cut.
