ok so in the army zip stories we basically know jungkook and namjoon had a fight. so let's imagine, how did it happen? (a thread) #namkook
For the backstory, we're gonna have to get creative here. The story videos give us zero indication as to who is what in this AU. All we know is that the members are still a team, and that they fought Bang PD once. So, let's think this through.
Maybe there could be a thing about balance in time. Jungkook has traveled to the future, Namjoon went back to the past. They're opposites. Maybe they could have an argument over what keeping that means.
Maybe Jungkook wants to use his powers more during battle to be better and more efficient, while RM begs him to minimize the use because of natural laws, since every time he screws with time, he's gotta do something to balance it out. There, a sort of conflict could rise.
Okay, tweeted that before I wanted to, whoops. But I'm gonna continue:

Let's set up the battle!
So, during the Bang PD Battle Arc (sure, let's call it that), they have to infiltrate an underground base with supervillain intel he built with the BTS Are Global Superstars Now (tm) money.
He's trying to secure the survival of Bighit in a hundred years, worried that harsh times may come again for the company, and even diversification like they're doing now wouldn't be enough.
To achieve this, Bang PD has decided to figure out a sequence of sounds that would control people's minds without anyone realizing, and hide it into a song. He needs to do this underground so nobody hears or sees him experimenting with the melody before it's ready.
Namjoon and Jungkook try to investigate because, as the leader and the youngest, they probably have the greatest chance to distract Bang PD because loyalty to BH and stuff, and find out what the heck he's planning.
They find a way into the underground base by inputing a code (that they found in Bang PD's office) into the Bighit HQ elevator, and they see the large underground music factory of sorts.

It looks like a corporate office, a music studio, and a futuristic prison, all at once.
Long story short, they're shocked. But Jungkook wants to stop time and destroy the base. Namjoon refuses. Bang PD already left, nobody's coming in again, why do they even need to?
JK doesn't budge. What if he comes back? What if we need more time to destroy the place/his plans?
By then, they have a loud argument. And the noise triggers a defense system. It starts deleting the evidence, and Namjoon desperately saves what he can into a hard drive. Meanwhile, Jungkook prepares for battle if needed. They've got each other's back.

But not for long.
While they're getting out, the defense mechanism basically burns the place to the ground. The foundations are getting weaker, the elevator doesn't work. They need to find a way out, pronto.

Namjoon can't teleport, and it only works for the person with the powers.
They've only got one option.

Jungkook HAS to stop time.

But this is WAY too heavy of a load to stop. They can freeze objects and turn them back, but the fire and the foundations? With all of the accumulated pressure from JK, this will surely break the balance of time!
Before either of them can protest, a part of the flaming ceiling falls down like debris, and Jungkook stops everything in a panic.

But he overshoots. EVERYTHING freezes.

Birds stop flying. People stop walking. The planet, possibly the universe, freezes.

All, except Joon.
(dun dun duuuuun, imma take a break but we're FINALLY getting into the good shit)
(k we're back)

The potential energy from Jungkook's constant timefuckery has been far too much for Namjoon to correct. He mitigated it, sure, but when Jungkook stopped time, that was the final straw. The pressure was too much, and something had to give.

Time itself is /broken/.
They both know this isn't normal. This is not how everything should be. The flames aren't burning hot anymore. Light isn't moving with their shadow when they step back from the falling ceiling's way.

They can even see a sort of glitching around them.
"Jungkook," Namjoon says, looking around in complete confusion, "what did you do?"

Jungkook is in just as much shock as him. He can't believe it either. Maybe that training did go too far.
Namjoon walks around the massive block of burning rubble, still suspended in the air. He tells Jungkook this is exactly what he was trying to avoid in the first place. How the hell are they gonna get out now?

Jungkook replies angrily that now is not the time to argue!
Things keep escalating until Jungkook throws a punch. The debris goes up when he does that, seemingly going back in time. The glitching gets larger. Namjoon, not thinking clearly either out of stress, punches back. Certain parts of the building fall down slowly.
Jungkook and Namjoon keep struggling until Jungkook decides to test if his flying works to avoid the punches. It does, but it's harder than usual due to the stoppage of time being this severe. Namjoon uses a staircase of broken walls that had just formed to catch up to him.
The glitching gets larger and larger. Jungkook is teleporting and attempting to avoid Namjoon's attacks, but the flying debris was free to be moved up or down in the trajectory of their fall. Namjoon used this to his advantage, strategically making Jungkook avoid his moves +
to then time-manipulate the rock as an attack.

Jungkook also landed a few punches. The best of these was after grabbing a metal pole that had broken down, and fighting Namjoon in the debris staircase, the teleportation giving him an advantage.
In the end, Namjoon jumped to attack Jungkook. Jungkook's flying gave out at the extra weight, sending them both down to the floor.

Remember the glitches? With all of this fighting, one of them underneath them grew to a point where they both could pass through it.
Unable to stop their fall, they landed on the glitch, and went right through it...

They landed harshly, on the floor of Bang PD's unburnt underground lair, five minutes before burning down.

The glitch disappeared, the pressure released, time went by as normal again.
Namjoon hurried to save the information, and they quietly went up the elevator again, tired and bruised, heading home to show their findings to the rest.

"This isn't over."
