i had a teacher who pretended to faint in the middle of a road, pregnant. and made half of the teaching staff against my class. teachers ARE wild https://twitter.com/sliccmic/status/1290787790985273351
I had one that started yelling about my class being messy in the middle of a NATIONAL exam. Its only messy because the school couldn't provide us with proper facilities for everyone to begin with. My class is the more 'unfortunate' one
I had a teacher who forced everyone who couldn't present loud enough go to the end of a field and scream untill we can hear them. No one pass, its impossible, the field is huge. Someone cry, it was the second week of boarding school
i had a counselling teacher made fake news about a problematic student. Everyone avoided him the next day. Some run away the other direction out of fear. Hes worried, confused. why people avoiding him? asked me why, I told him. Said i dont believe it and ill treat him as usual.
had an ustaz that would pry on middle school girls. He touched and rubbed our arms during 1on1 consultation. He lean in too close to our faces just to say something. Only happened to girls. I was 11
had another teacher who throw away our uno card, scattered on a main road because its 'similar to gambling' and he dont want us to gamble. It was during recess, other kids bring board games too. I was 9. I move out the next year.
I used to be very dumb and cant spell. A teacher told me specifically, loudly, in front of everyone, in the middle of an exam, while walking around the class, reminding me how to spell a very simple word. I was 9 and never felt more humiliated. I never felt so dumb.
I was also 9 in English class, a teacher read an essay from the exam papers loudly, in front of everyone. Then proceed to tell everyone how bad the essay is, and nit pick at everything thats wrong. Then called my name to pick up the paper. I truly believe im dumb.
I have more stories to tell believe me, but I wanted to say among these horrible acts i do have wonderful, amazing teachers that really sparks something in me. I had teachers who goes the extra mile. Teachers kind enough to hear our problems.
I had a teacher who told us, we can write our problems in a piece of paper and drop them off in a jar on her table. My parents were going through a divorce. I was sad and i write to her. She was wonderful. Im super grateful for her.
Remembered how im dumb at 9, yeah i moved school at 10 and the teachers there are wonderful beings. some are strict but thats completely okay. They care for me and im not dumb now because of them. They gave me attention, tips and advice without the humiliation.
i will end this thread. i am crying
