When taemin released want, he explained that his initial plan was to release something else but SM rushed his to release want & the mini album, he said the promos were very short but its okay because he will be having a 2nd release on the same year (this was March 2019)

later superm plans were announced on summer 2019 and we didn't hear anything about his supposed comeback, we just assumed it got postponed, later on January 1st, after an sm dating scandal, sm announces his comeback as damage control

the comeback is supposed to be for march yet announced in january, which later gets postponed again bc of the pandemic (but somehow that doesnt stop sm from having their artists comeback every single week)

comes april, taemins dancer leaks his dance practice, taemin voices his frustration on fanchats and how hes sad things arent working out but we should be getting something "soon"

comes early july, taemin gets injured yet he films for superm the very same week, shawols are frustrated, they get more restless and upset everyday, so sm throws a bone at us, a prerelease anounced a week before, with barely any teasers, no promos, no music shows

taemin gets a poster saying that 2kids is a prologue to his "never gonna dance again" album coming out in 2 parts : Act 1 & Act 2, yet we have no dates for those releases and literally 38hours after his release we get a full schedule for superm until the very end of september

on top of all of this, this was the period shinee are enlisted when taemin was supposed to promote solo & keep the shinee name active but his last release was even before minho and kibum enlisted, AND never gonna dance again is going to be his last album before his own enlist'
