I don't do it for those reasons but I had no idea people were actually getting promoted for it. Wow.

Also note that I don't want this wonderful opportunity to be taken away from kids or that I'm being petty. I'm corroborating that a lot of accounts that have always been vocal about DEI issues like myself were never featured on the site. It's startling.

Like I can understand being over looked. But 4 or 5 times ?? What does it take to even get a retweet What did I do wrong ? I got more people to sign up if anything. Despite not getting the same acknowledgement of other popular profiles...

I acknowledge I have White privilege because the color of my skin is White. But it's pretty well known I'm Latina... and again you all know me for being a very LOUD advocate for injustice in academia... so like....

Point Blank, I think if people are @'ing you and you are actively retweeting people who do work for you, why not retweet them all? It shuts people out when you selectively give certain people platforms but not all.

I made this thread not cause I want recognition. I want transparency on who gets to decides who gets boosted/retweeted etc. Cause even with several sessions and encouraging others to sign up I feel a little strange that I've never even gotten a retweet.
