The point of contention is that you perceive humour in jokes that are harmful, that surely means there has not been unlearning on your part as per “understanding the issue”?

It also doesn’t ring true to me that our humour is merely an isolated aspect of us. It’s a characteristic trait. It reflects my perspective and conditionings with which I can decipher humour or not.
So, if I’m laughing at something, it’s because I found it funny. Now whether that thing I’m laughing at is harmful or not, that is influenced by my own personal perspective, re: “understanding issues”. You wouldn’t laugh at something you wholeheartedly condemned & abhorred.
