oh fuck i love furudates art, this is an appreciation thread
on furudate's paneling: 1) they creatively use sfx/texts as panel dividers; 2) with their anatomical understanding, they easily depict motion and smoothly direct the reader's attention from one panel to another https://twitter.com/mendosaiki/status/1291086270421258242

there really is something about furudates way of illustrating speed and motion and combining it with their talent for paneling. these spreads are my personal favorites.
yeah, i will never shut up about haikyuu's imagery of birds/wings and the metaphorical representation/s of karanekos rivalry. furudate was Really insane for this.
the way furudate draws the path of anything that acceleratedly goes up implying that its moving to an extraordinary height (eg the ceiling serve and hinata and hoshiumis jumps)
their portrayal of force and impact.... insane. also i love how furudate makes the ball go over the panels to give a sense of depth and 3d effect
lastly, this series of volume covers https://twitter.com/kqrasuno/status/1284398774257774593
