Covid fatigue

Aug 4

Midsummer brings in the first summer crops of the season - namely cucumbers and tomatoes...

Food update:
-corn salad: made some with onions and cucumbers (both finely chopped), corn cut off the cob plus lime juice from one lime. It was not bad, maybe 1/10
add garden fresh tomatoes next time (we will be having lots of those) for colour and flavour.

-beans: harvested more than 2 dozen hand-length beans, ate them in a potato casserole. At the moment, there's maybe 3 or 4 beans ready to harvest, but a dozen more need a week's 2/10
growth.

-cucumbers: harvested 3 cucumbers within the last week. One that was twice as wide and nearly as long as the other 2 cucumbers. Ate them sliced with sprinkled sea salt.

-tomatoes: harvested around a dozen cherry tomatoes and two big tomatoes also within the last 3/10
week. Ate most of the cherry ones halved in a soup. One big tomato went into sandwiches and the other is sitting prettily on the counter, ripening away.

-dessert leftovers were finished and new ones were made. Specifically weed brownies. Got stoned for like half a day (each 4/10
day having 24 hours...)

Growl...

Hmm...interesting...someone has come in for a consult and I'm to be present. Pretty sure I messed it up...think I might've made that person more confused instead of clarifying things...oops. Claims they'll be back in a couple days for 5/10
another consult and then consider buying. We'll see...

Back to food - potato casserole was originally supposed to be potato patties, because I got bored of baked potato, sliced baked potato, garlic mashed potato, and whatever other potato-based food you can think of. Potato 6/10
patties = grated potatoes, green onions, red onions, black beans, green beans, cornstarch (to thicken the liquids) and smoked applewood spice (very nice), and maybe a few other ingredients I might've forgotten. It was a mushy deliciousness, reinforced by adding more of the 7/10
smoked applewood spice. Lover was like, why are you doing more work? Just make it into a casserole. Never underestimate the appeal of laziness...I was kinda hoping for that fried crispiness...

Back to work - more covers (Boss was like, to loosely paraphrase, "See this book? 8/10
It needs a new cover. Go get me one.") More editing - sigh. Another meeting this morning. I tried my best not to doodle. It was a half-assed effort (grammatically correct?). I wrote random words instead.

As for production, it may take place this week. The one part we need 9/10
will start to come in this week, and so will the other part. Hopefully I can start before the week ends... 10/10 End of thread.
