Saiko Metori is so misunderstood and he does NOT deserve the hate he gets, a thread https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🧵" title="Thread" aria-label="Emoji: Thread">
If you can& #39;t tell, i REALLLYYY love Saiko and seeing lots of Saiko haters made me so sad.
So let me start with the second he showed up in manga/anime. He born with a silver spoon. "He& #39;s one of those rich characters in comics."
Saiko is a & #39;spoiled brat& #39; who shows off his name and money. He thinks he can buy anything and anyone. Everyone in the class hated him because of his attitude. These are true but it isn& #39;t that hard to see the reason behind.
-> Being like that was the only way he knew.
He tried to buy people so he can make his way to Kokomi. Of course it didn& #39;t go well and when the Kokomins went after him, Saiki tried to knock some sense into him. He was so confused as you can see.
He didn& #39;t know why others acted the way they did. He locked himself in his room for a week because nothing that happened fit in his reality. He never learned people would act without money as a motive.
Just like how Saiki would turn into evil if it weren& #39;t for his mom, Saiko wouldn& #39;t be the "spoiled brat" he is if he wouldn& #39;t grow up with a father like his.
-I agree, Saiki. His father is the worst.
I was so sad when i first watched this scene in the anime. It& #39;s only natural for him to think in this way since he grew up with people who would leave him if he didn& #39;t give them something. This is the only way he was taught.
More evidence. Nobody told him that people can be friends without waiting something in return from each other.
Now remember the episode/chapter where others visited Saiko& #39;s home. After seeing everyone so unimpressed, he rebuild his home and added at least one room with each person& #39;s interests in it. That shows he paid attention to them and their preferences.
These panels are after they visited Saiko& #39;s home. He wanted to impress them and even he didn& #39;t get why because he doesn& #39;t know these kind of feelings.
He& #39;s not as the selfish as others think he is. When his ship sank, he thought he didn& #39;t deserve to eat because he was feeling responsible for the whole situation.
Personally, I believe this is one of the worst things someone can experience. He is the way he is because of the family he born in. Because of the way he grew up. No one had the right to go this far. LOOK HOW SAD HE LOOKS? THE REAL TEARS I SHED.
Just read these. I hope it will help you understand his behaviour. He doesn& #39;t know what friendship is and it hurts my heart so much. :( Saiko pspsps come here and accept my hug https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😭" title="Laut schreiendes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Laut schreiendes Gesicht">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="❤️" title="Rotes Herz" aria-label="Emoji: Rotes Herz">
He wanted to quit school after all of that. We all know Saiki would NOT try to stop him (by sending Nendou after Saiko) if he thought Saiko was a bad person and he would cause trouble for Saiki (and his friends) in the future.
He knew since the day he saw he couldn& #39;t "buy" Nendou or others and he came to realize that there is something more valuable than money. Tho, he refused that. Because this was something unknown for him and unknown can be very scary.
Let& #39;s not forget others run after Saiko when they heard he was quitting. They didn& #39;t want him to leave and we all know they wouldn& #39;t care if they didn& #39;t consider Saiko as their friends.
Also Aren wanted to clean his desk even tho he didn& #39;t show it. Dork<3
When our precious group didn& #39;t have a place to stay, Saiko wanted to help them. But one can& #39;t change old habits, he was rude/demanding while trying to help. But still, he helped them without asking something in return. He didn& #39;t even say a word about it afterwards.
"The young master has changed." Hell yeah he did.
And finally. This scene was so emotional for most of us. Especially for us Saiko stans. Because this is the only time he accepted his own thoughts, his own emotions.
Saiko Metori has never been a selfish spoiled brat because "that& #39;s the way he is"
He was taught this was the only way to live as a heir of the Saiko name. He never saw a single person who was there for him only, not for his name or money.
This is why he was so confused when he met those in PK. He didn& #39;t know what to do or how to act. It took him a while to understand this new world. When he did, he was a new Saiko.
I loved him the second i saw his stupid little orange juice glass. I really hope at least some people stop hating on him just because he& #39;s rich. This is so unfair that you& #39;d ignore all of his character and its development.
I& #39;m so proud of you Saiko Metori
