Not weighing in one way or another on the Ellen situation, but I wonder if Jay Leno has ever heard the name Harvey Weinstein? Maybe he knows who Bill Cosby is? Both of those guys raised and donated quite a bit of money for charitable causes. Both are credibly-convicted rapists.

Am I saying that all charitable celebrities are scumbags? Absolutely not. There are boatloads of good celebrities/rich people who do good with their money as a reflection of who they are. What I AM saying, however, is that scumbags like to use charity as a cover for scumbagging.

Looks like I need to further clarify my point:
Just because someone does charitable things does not mean they're a good person. And no, I don't think Ellen being a dick is equal to Weinstein & Cosby being rapists, they were just good, recent examples of this thread's main point.
