I keep mentioning that I’m editing Pomegranate’s 2nd edition, and as I’m fast approaching it’s rerelease date, I wanted to talk about what I am and am not changing.

What I am Not changing:
The story. The book will be the same plot, so if you read it, don’t worry! The story and all the scenes are staying the same.

What I Am changing:
Grammar. I have grown a lot as an author, and I admit my debut had grammar issues. I did fix a ton last year, but with this 2nd edition, I am not only self editing, but the wonderful @cassc38 is proofreading

Line Editing. Pomegranate is older, and I was young & inexperience when I wrote it. A lot of the sentences are wordy. The transitions are awkward. Some dialogue is repetitive. Some scenes are stagnant so I add more action to their conversations.
Tone. Pomegranate was written with more YA language. I tend to write more adult now so the maturity level in the actually writing and dialogue has increased. No more words like ‘okay’ or ‘for sure’

And lastly, the scenes between Hades and Alkaios. They are still PG, but I made them more delicious and full of longing. More tension and kisses. And the fights scenes are worth a mention too. They are my specialty so I gotta beef them up!
I have a tentative re-release date which I will announce when I know more myself. I’m going to change the paperback trim size, and as a thank you to everyone, I’m offering the Kindle for free for the 1st weekend. Get ready. Hades will be back with a vengeance!
