I tweet a lot about how prolific creators get rewarded by the internet.

So this is a thread of my plans to create and publish consistently this month.

Hope you find it useful.
1. The Routine

Consistency is a result of habits. I plan to write every morning from 9 am -10 am and get in a bonus 30 minutes before bedtime when everywhere's peaceful and quiet.

Find a routine that works for you.
2. Smallest possible habit

The key to habit development is to start small. 1000 words a day sounds fancy but it'd be hard to do when I don't feel like.

So I'll start at 500 words because I'm already used to writing.
Even A sentence a day is not a bad habit, to begin with.

Pick a starting point so ridiculously easy you have no excuse not to do it.
3. Output-based goals.

Consistent creators focus on output instead of outcomes. The former you can control, the other You cannot.

My goal is to publish 2 posts a week and five tweets a day, instead of focusing on an increase in followers or blog views.
In this case, failure or success is completely up to me. I publish or I don't

Output goals ensure you remain focused on being a consistent creator which increases the likelihood you become one.
4. Commit To Release Your Creations At A Set Time

Perfection is the enemy of consistency.

My commitment is to publish an article every Tuesday and Saturday and then a newsletter on Sunday. This prevents me from procrastinating as seen for two months now with the newsletter.
To overcome your perfectionist tendencies, commit to a specific time to release your creations and stick to it.

That constraint will help you become more consistent.
5. Batch The Work And Leverage Technology

There are other things to do in Life, so you have to develop systems to make it easier to produce on a regular basis.

I publish 5 tweets a day and I sometimes do this by scheduling these tweets in the morning.
I have a twitter calendar where I write ideas between 11 am - 12 pm and then send some of them out with twitter schedule.

So during the day, I'm under no pressure to tweet even if I get extra ideas.
A similar approach can be employed in just about anything you do — you can schedule newsletters, social posts, blog posts, videos, emails, or just about anything to roll out whenever you’d like.

Consistency doesn’t have to be time-consuming.
