In this thread, we will provide an overview of services Doorways provides to survivors in @ArlingtonVA.

We serve survivors of all genders and LGBTQIA+ people. We are here to support individuals and families, adults and youth, survivors as well as their loved ones.
24-Hour Domestic & Sexual Violence Hotline: 703-237-0881

As a first priority, advocates ensure that all callers in immediate danger are provided with crisis intervention and safety planning. Callers are provided with comprehensive info on local resources and referrals.
Court Advocacy:

Securing legal protections is a critical component of immediate and long-term safety. Our Court Advocates offer survivors support, guidance, and expertise in the legal aspects of safety from violence. Mobile advocates are also availabe to support survivors.
Mobile Advocacy:

For those survivors that may not be ready or able to come into shelter, our mobile advocacy program provides case management, information and referrals, and safety planning.
Hospital Accompaniment Response Program (HARP):

Doorways' hospital accompaniment program offers trained advocates, available 24 hours a day, to provide support and guidance during exams at the hospital to survivors of domestic and/or sexual abuse and assault.
Revive Domestic & Sexual Violence Counseling Program:

Revive provides individual and group counseling for adults, youth, and children in our community (currently through secure telemental health) to foster healing and long-term wellness and safety.
Safe Shelter, Housing, and Support Services (1 of 2):

Our Domestic Violence Safehouse, Safe Kennel, and Safe Apartments provide emergency safe shelter for survivors, their children, and their pets.
