Please sign the attached petition on the Council website here

It will ask you for address details to prove you are a resident, worker, student

Recently on Council website appeared with no consultation changes to the parking rule, it was a surprise, had not been discussed anywhere & even now some details are unclear and there is no opportunity to ask questions in a public meeting before go-live
Petition asks for delay
2/
Petition does not necessarily mean a relaxation of parking rules but says need a proper debate on parking 1st
I still think we need to extend parking hours until later in the evening in return for more free tickets but also a review of parking permits issued based on
3/
need rather than address. Plus review of rules on car clubs, HMO's, taxi stands, electric vehicles etc.
Rather then incremental unannounced changes, lets have a proper review of parking rules, agree strategy first in public & then make a change if required

30 signatures = a 3-minute presentation at full Council, 1,000 signatures means it goes to Overview & Scrutiny Committee, 2,000 signatures means a 30-minute debate at full Council
Why Council e-petition has more weight then other petitions
